1967/68 - division three
about the programme
For 1967/68, the programme remained the same size, but the page count doubled as a result of the inclusion of ‘Football League Review’ magazine. Launched in the summer of 1965 as ‘Soccer Review’, the magazine changed its name 12 months later and became a very popular inclusion in Football league programmes over the next few years. Albion included the Review as a stapled addition to the programme, often removing the cover so it looked more like a part of the programme itself. On the cover, the season started with a rotating gallery of pictures of local landmarks, but later in the season, this was changed to action shots from a previous game. The FA Cup 1st round tie against Southend United on 9 December 1967 was postponed, with the original programme used for the re-arranged game on 13 December. There was another postponement on 13 January 1968 (vs Stockport County) where programmes survived. A new issue was produced for the re-arranged fixture at the beginning of May.
