Going strong since 2001
September 11th 2001 is a date etched on the minds of millions of people around the World.
Albion fan Robert Eaton was one of those who lost their lives in the World Trade Centre on that day.
To honour his memory, a charity was established and the first Robert Eaton Memorial Fund game took place later that year, between teams of fans from Albion and Crystal Palace.
The game has been played ever since, at various venues. This year, for the first time, the match takes place over two legs. The first, on Friday 24th April is at Croydon FC. The return fixture on May 15th is at Worthing FC. If you want to go, more details are on their FACEBOOK
The charity do incredible work and for more information, please visit their WEBSITE
Please click on the links below for full scans of the programmes from the games. Some of them are from my collection but for the rest, I’m indebted to Alan Wares. He’s one half of the team (Ady being the other) that presents The Albion Roar on Radio Reverb every Saturday. Give it a listen, they are really good.
